1. Trust

The Power of Trust in building and maintaining a relationship should never be underestimated. The truth is that no relationship in this world would be able to function without trust. A relationship which is based on dishonestly and lies will never go the distance. Therefore It is important from day one to always be as honest as you can with your partner

2. Love yourself

Although this may sound selfish but it is unfortunately a bitter truth. This is because if you are unable to love yourself, you can’t expect anybody else to love you.

3. Compromise

You and your partner will need to be able to compromise on all situations. There may be times you will not be in the mood to attend a party or event, but if it’s important to your partner, then you will need to compromise, put on a smile and attend the event with her/him full stop.

4 Support each other
One of the key ingredients to a healthy relationship is the ability to support each other through thick and thin. It is your job as a boyfriend/ girlfriend to support your partner through the good times and the bad times. Never appear as a fair weather person.
